Monday Blues: See Through The Blue

See Through The Blue“The grass is always greener.” I think that that mentality can be wonderfully beneficial to us human beings in some ways, but terribly damaging in others. Society defining and valuing unattainable beauty standards causes people, especially girls and women, to see themselves through blue-colored glasses that illuminate only their flaws and blinds them from self-love and self-acceptance.

I am trying to see through the blue, own every single one of my body’s “flaws” and love myself for who I am. If we could focus more on the best parts of ourselves and others, we could learn that with few exceptions beauty is actually one size fits all.
